III. UT YEAH (Youth, Environment and Health) Research Team Goal: Improve the well-being of Tennessee’s children by reducing and balancing risks associated with pests, pesticides, and other chemicals.

i. Four Points
1. Prevent pest population
2. Apply pesticides only as needed
3. Select the least hazardous pesticide (Signal word CAUTION) or method
4. Target pesticides to areas not contacted by or accessible to the students, faculty or staff.
ii. Tennessee 62-21-124. People applying pesticides in schools must be under the direct supervision of a person licensed to apply pesticides in TN. Teachers and other school personnel cannot apply pesticides in schools unless under this supervision.
iii. Conducive conditions in schools
